Joseph D. Quarin , , , President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Quarin has been with Progressive Waste Solutions since the company's founding in 2000. Previously, Mr. Quarin was President and COO. He was EVP of the company from March 2010, EVP and Canadian COO from September 2005 through March 2010, CFO from February 2002 through September 2005, and Vice President, Finance from July 2000 through February 2002. Prior to July 2000, Mr. Quarin was an associate at NB Capital Partners (now Edgestone Capital Partners) from February 2000 to July 2000, and from June 1995 to January 2000 Mr. Quarin held various positions, including manager, senior manager and Vice President, with KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. Mr. Quarin has an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business (Dean’s Honour List), a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen’s University, and is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Quarin was recognized in 2004 as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

Ian Kidson , , , Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kidson joined Progressive Waste Solutions in August 2012 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He is an accomplished financial services executive. Prior to joining the Company, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of TD Capital Mezzanine Partners for ten years where he led subordinated debt and equity investments in North American businesses in sectors including waste management. Previously, Mr. Kidson spent 16 years at CIBC World Markets/Wood Gundy, which he joined in 1984 in the Investment Banking department. In 1986, he moved to CIBC's Capital Markets group where he analyzed and marketed interest rate swaps and other derivative product structures to corporate and government accounts, primarily in connection with debt financing transactions. In 1990, Mr. Kidson became Managing Director of the Private Placement (Debt) Group which was followed by a move to CIBC Capital Partners in 1994. At CIBC Capital Partners, he was a Principal, leading both mezzanine and equity investments. Mr. Kidson received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1984 and holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA, both from McMaster University.

Dan Pio , , , Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development

Dan Pio joined Progressive Waste Solutions in 2010 as Vice President and Canadian Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he was employed as Senior Vice President with Waste Management, Inc. from 2001 to 2005. From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Pio held various positions with Waste Management and its predecessor companies including Chief Accounting Officer and Division Vice President. From 1990 to 1996, he held the position of Manager of Financial Operations for Laidlaw Waste Systems Ltd. Mr. Pio has over 20 years of experience in the solid waste management industry and holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.

Kevin Walbridge , , , Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Walbridge joined the company in 2012. His experience in the waste industry is varied and spans almost 30 years. His career has taken him to a variety of national and international locations, including a stint in Saudi Arabia with BFI (1982-1983). After BFI, he opened a branch of the family business in Phoenix, AZ. Mr. Walbridge was with Waste Management from 1985 to 1996, becoming President of Waste Management of Alameda County, CA, in 1993. In 1996, he returned to his family’s business, National ServAll in Ft. Wayne, IN until Republic Industries bought the company in 1997. Mr. Walbridge was with Republic Services from 1997 through late 2011, serving most recently as their Executive Vice President – Operations. Mr. Walbridge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a minor in natural resources from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. He is also a graduate of Yale’s Corporate Environmental Program. Mr. Walbridge is past president of the Detachable Container Association. He is a past Chairman and currently a member of the board of directors for the Environmental Research and Education Foundation.

Izzie Abrams , , , Vice President, Corporate Development and Government Relations

Mr. Abrams joined in 2003 and is responsible for the Company’s corporate development and government relations programs. Prior to Progressive Waste Solutions, Mr. Abrams was founder and President of Triwaste Services. Previously, he had founded and led Dual Removal Systems. Additionally, he was a Vice President responsible for Canadian operations at Canadian Waste Services and was President, CEO and Chief Restructuring Officer of Nevada Bob’s Golf. In his career spanning more than 30 years, Mr. Abrams has taken a leadership role in various charitable and non-profit community organizations and as well has played a strong role within the waste services industry through his involvement in many trade organizations.

Kenneth M. Baylor , , , Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development

Mr. Baylor joined Progressive Waste Solutions in 2011 with responsibility for strategic human capital issues. His extensive background in senior leadership roles in the solid waste management industry extends to Waste Management, Inc. and Republic Services, Inc., as well as an active membership in the EIA/NSWMA. Mr. Baylor has over 30 years of successful human resources experience and has received numerous awards for outstanding performance including the NSWMA’s Distinguished Service Award. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida and earned his MBA, Master of Science in Leadership, and doctorate degrees from NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. In addition, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Leadership from the University of Oxford in England.

Ivan Cairns , , , Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Cairns joined the company after Progressive Waste Solutions acquired Waste Services, Inc. (WSI) in July 2010. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of WSI, which he joined in 2004. Prior to that time, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Laidlaw International Inc. and at its predecessor, Laidlaw Inc., for more than 20 years.

Robert Chee , , , Vice President, Tax, U.S.

Mr. Chee joined the company following the acquisition of Waste Services, Inc. (WSI) in July of 2010. Most recently, he was Vice President of Tax for WSI, which he joined in 2006. Previously, he served as Director of Tax for The Geo Group, Inc. as well as BE Aerospace Inc., both multinational public companies headquartered in South Florida. He began his career with Arthur Andersen where he specialized in corporate tax. Mr. Chee earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1992 and a Master of Accounting in 1993, both from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida. He has been an active member of Tax Executives Institute (TEI) since 1998 and has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Chapter of TEI for various terms from 2000 to 2012.

William Chyfetz , , , Vice President and Associate General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Chyfetz has been with the company since its inception and has held various senior positions with its predecessor Browning-Ferris Industries Ltd. since 1994. He was named to his current position in 2000. Mr. Chyfetz obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from McGill University and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a member of The Law Society of Upper Canada and is also a Chartered Accountant. At the 2010 Canadian General Counsel Awards, Mr. Chyfetz won in the category of "Mid Market Excellence".

Chaya Cooperberg , , , Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications

Chaya Cooperberg joined IESI-BFC Ltd. in 2007 with responsibility for the company's strategic investor relations, public relations and employee communications initiatives. In 2011, she was appointed to Vice President. Prior to Progressive Waste Solutions, she was the Director of Investor Relations and Communications for Alderwoods Group, a NASDAQ-listed funeral and cemetery services operator. Previously, she was the Director, Investor Relations at Descartes Systems Group, an inter-listed Canadian logistics software firm. Ms. Cooperberg has a BAA in Journalism from the Ryerson School of Journalism and has worked as a business journalist for publications such as the Globe and Mail, Stockhouse.com and Investor's Digest. She is a memeber of the National Investor Relations Institute's (Virtual Chapter) Board of Directors.

Dean DiValerio , , , Vice President, Southeast Region

Dean DiValerio joined Progressive Waste Solutions as Southeast Region Vice President in August 2013. His extensive 23 year background in the solid waste industry includes sales leadership, new market development, strategic planning, mergers/acquisitions/integration and financial management. Before joining the company, Mr. DiValerio held the position of Area President of Republic Services, Inc. overseeing Southwestern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware for 13 years. His prior employment was with BFI Waste Systems for 10 years in the Philadelphia and Cleveland market. Mr. DiValerio is a graduate of Villanova University, Villanova, PA.

Thomas J. Fowler , , , Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, U.S.

Mr. Fowler has been IESI Corporation’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since January 2003. From 1994 to February 2003, Mr. Fowler was Vice President and General Counsel of Unity Hunt, Inc. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Fowler had his own law practice, and was Corporate Secretary and Legal Counsel for Laidlaw Waste Systems Inc. from 1987 to 1992. Mr. Fowler has a J.D. and B.Sc. in accounting from St. Mary’s University of San Antonio and a B.A. in biology from the University of Texas.

John C. Gustafson, Jr. , , , Vice President, South West Region

Mr. Gustafson has been a Vice President of IESI since January 2005. Prior to that he was Area Manager of the North Texas and Oklahoma markets since 2003. He has been with IESI Corporation since 1997. From 1992 to 1997 he worked for Waste Management in Houston, Texas. Mr. Gustafson has a B.S. in communications from the University of Texas at Austin.

William P.M. Herman , , , Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer

Prior to his current position, Mr. Herman held various positions including Director, Financial Reporting and Canadian Corporate Controller and Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis for BFI Canada Inc. from June 2002 to September 2005. Prior to June 2002, Mr. Herman held various positions with Deloitte & Touche LLP from September 1995 to June 2002, including manager, audit and assurance. Mr. Herman is a Chartered Accountant and has an M.B.A. from the York University Schulich School of Business, and a Diploma in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

John Lamanna , , , Northeast Region Vice President

John Lamanna joined as Northeast Region Vice President in December 2012. He has more than 34 years of nationwide experience in the waste management industry, most recently as a midwest area president at Republic Services. Before that, he worked at Waste Management, National Serv-All, and Browning Ferris Industries. In addition, Mr. Lamanna has held a number of leadership roles in NSWMA and SWANA.

Mike May , , , Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Mike May joined as Vice President and CIO in October 2012. He has over 27 years of leadership experience, most recently as Senior Vice President at Katz Group Canada. His extensive experience in management consulting at KPMG influenced his bias for close working relationships between operations management and IT to foster partnerships in solving problems. He received his CGA designation in 1985, and holds a Bachelor of Business Management with a Certificate in Business Computer Systems and Programming from Ryerson University.

Shawn McCash , , , Vice President, Environmental Management and Technology Group

Mr. McCash joined the company after Progressive Waste Solutions acquired Waste Services, Inc. (WSI) in July 2010. Most recently, he was Sr. Vice President Landfill Operations & Engineering of WSI, which he joined in 2004. Prior to that time, he held various engineering, environmental and construction roles with Allied Waste Industries, Laidlaw Waste Systems, Chambers Development Company and Chemical Waste Management. Mr. McCash has over 25 years of experience in the waste management industry and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1987 from Texas Tech University.

Tom Miller , , , Senior Vice President, Operations

Mr. Miller joined our Company in 2010 as Vice President Special Projects in the U.S. Operations. In 2011, he was appointed Vice President of Development with additional duties as leader of the Purchasing Group and our computer based routing program and truck mounted on board computer system. In 2014, he was named to his current position. Earlier in his career, Tom held various senior level positions in Republic Services as VP-Operations, Area President and VP-Western Region over a 14 years period. From 1982-1997, Tom held various positions in Browning-Ferris Industries including VP-Northern Region Operations. Tom has more than thirty years of experience in the solid waste industry and holds a Bachelors Degree in Geology from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana.

Stephen T. Moody , , , Vice President, Controller, North American Operations

Mr. Moody has been IESI Corporation’s Vice President and Corporate Controller since 2000. Prior to that, beginning in 1997, he was IESI’s Corporate Controller. Prior to that, he worked for five years with Coopers & Lybrand in both litigation services and audit. Mr. Moody holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Texas A&M University.

Yves Normandin , , Eng. , , Vice President, Quebec Region

Mr. Normandin has been the District Manager for the Lachenaie landfill since 1991, and has served as the Vice-President for Quebec since 2002. Mr. Normandin graduated as a Chemical Engineer in 1980 from the Ecole Polytechnique at the University of Montreal. Throughout his career, Mr. Normandin has held positions in the chemical processing and waste treatment industries where he gained strong experience in the fields of wastewater treatment, contaminated site characterization and remediation services, and landfill leachate treatment.

Geoff Rathbone , , , Vice President, Resource Recovery

Mr. Rathbone joined us in 2011 and is responsible for the identification and development of new material diversion and recovery opportunities and oversees all of our material recovery facilities. Mr. Rathbone brings over 30 years of experience in the environmental sector, having held significant roles with private and municipal organizations throughout this period. Most recently, he held the position of General Manager, Solid Waste Services with the City of Toronto. Prior to joining the City in 2001, he was VP, Market and Technical Development for CSR: Corporations Supporting Recycling and from 1991 - 1997, he held the office of National Recycling Director for Laidlaw Waste Systems Ltd. Mr. Rathbone holds an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, Ontario.

Scott Richards , , , Vice President, Internal Audit

Prior to joining the company in November, 2005, Mr. Richards served from May 1989 through October 2005 in various senior risk management capacities at MBNA America. Prior to that, Mr. Richards held various audit positions with Ernst & Whinney (presently Ernst & Young). Mr. Richards has a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas, an M.B.A. in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Nicole Thunich , , , Vice President, Health and Safety

Nicole Thunich joined Progressive Waste Solutions in June of this year in the newly created role of Vice President, Health and Safety. Most recently, Nicole was the Vice President of Health and Safety for a leading global infrastructure and construction materials company where she was responsible for building the organization’s health and safety roadmap for performance improvement after the acquisition of many smaller companies. After graduating from the University of Ottawa, Nicole began her career in health and safety with the Ontario WSIB as a vocational rehabilitation caseworker. She worked a number of years in the Quick Service Food and telecommunications industries overseeing health, safety and risk management. She completed her Canadian Risk Management Designation in 2002. Nicole joined PepsiCo Canada in 2004. Her vision and strong leadership capabilities helped transition the organization’s health and safety culture. Nicole was instrumental in the development of the Global PepsiCo Health and Safety Strategy and the implementation of a corporate health and safety structure within the Pepsico Global Business.

David West , , , Vice President, Purchasing, Fleet and Maintenance

Mr. West joined Progressive Waste Solutions in March 2013 as Vice President, Purchasing, Fleet and Maintenance. He has nearly 15 years of North American experience within the heavy duty truck market segment and waste management industry, most recently with Mack Trucks, Inc. as its Vice President of Key Waste Accounts. Mr. West has also held various other leadership roles at Mack in sales and management. David is a graduate of McMaster University DeGroote School of Business.

Colin Wittke , , , Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Mr. Wittke joined the company in 2011 and is responsible for the company's Sales and Marketing programs. Mr. Wittke brings 28 years of experience in the waste industry. Mr. Wittke joins us from Waste Management, Inc. where he held various roles for the past 19 years. Most recently Mr. Wittke held the position of Vice President, Business Process Integration at Waste Management, Inc. Mr. Wittke holds a B.SC. in Finance (cum laude) from Biola University in La Mirada, California.
